Oregon Wins!

While We Wait Good News in Oregon!

As the post-election drama continues to unfold, we can take comfort in a number of significant wins in Oregon.

  • Shemia Fagan won the Secretary of State race, a critical victory in light of upcoming redistricting.

  • Peter DeFazio retained his powerful position in the House of Representatives.

  • Ellen Rosenblum remains Oregon’s Attorney General and Tobias Read stays as our State Treasurer.

  • Senator Jeff Merkley was handily re-elected.

  • Deb Patterson is going to the Oregon Senate from District 10, the Salem area, having defeated her Timber-Unity-backed opponent.

  • Anna Williams kept her seat in the Oregon House, representing Hood River and District 52.

  • Many important statewide and local ballot measures passed, including campaign finance reform, increased tax on tobacco products to fund health care, tuition-free preschool, and Multnomah County Library and Portland Public Schools bond measures.

There’s plenty to celebrate!

Where Do We Go from Here?
